A youth group of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) calling itself Friends of Nii Armah Ashitey (FONAA), has challenged the daughter of former President Rawlings, Dr. Zanetor Rawlings to extol the achievements of President Mahama if she is indeed a true member of
the party.
According to the group, Zanetor who is contesting the incumbent MP, Nii Armah Ashitey, failed to rate the president when she was asked to do so on the Pointblank segment on Eyewitness News last week.
They claim that a true member of the party should be able to list the numerous achievements of the president.
At a press conference in Accra on Monday, spokesperson for the group, Sacut Amenya–Etego stated, “When asked how she rates the president, on a TV show she said she is not a rating company.

Again when asked again on Citi FM’s Pointblank, she avoided and proceeded and stated that the President needs a better team that is why she is coming on board.

“All objectives and productive Ghanaians are confidently rating his Excellency President John Mahama very high and are commending his numerous achievements. Indeed I should not wait for someone to ask me to rate my president before I do so. So if I get an opportunity to do on such a platform and I hesitate to mention then my true identity as a party member will be questioned by observers.”
He added that “any true NDC person should be willing and glad to say undoubtedly the achievements of President I should be willing and glad to shout on the roof top that my President has improved the roads sector, improved water supply to communities etc.”
Mr. Amenya–Etego said “but to say that you do not or you are not a rating company it means that either there is nothing to rate the President about or something else that can be speculated. We are challenging other opponents that they should boldly come out to tout the achievements of the President just as we the Friends of Nii Armah Ashitey do so.”
