Nana Addo Donates GHC5,000 To Cancer Patient

 Flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has donated GHS5,000 to actress Mavis Yeboah known in the “Cow & Chicken” TV series as Maame Gyanwaa following her direct appeal to the former Attorney General for financial assistance on behalf of
her ailing son.

The three-time flag bearer made the donation on Wednesday to the actress whose 25-year-old amputee son, Derrick Yeboah, needs urgent chemotherapy.

The cash was given to Maame Gyanwaa by movie producer Socrate Safo and Shirley Ayorkor-Botwe – Member of Parliament for Anyaa Sowutuomin in the studios of Pluzz FM in Accra.

Derrick, the third child and only son of the veteran actress, has been battling with cancer since February this year. The deteriorating nature of the cancer led to the amputation of his left leg. He, therefore, needed to undergo urgent chemotherapy at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
